Hello Again, Date Night

The corona craziness hasn’t been too bad to me because I like being at home and doing things on my own as it is, but WOW, I missed date nights! I was talking to Brett this morning about how it may be hard to make reservations at restaurants since they are only partly opening up to the public. It seems like a table was already hard enough to reserve! Brett was able to reserve a table online at Seasons 52 at the Country Club Plaza. It was really convenient that the plaza wasn’t packed with people as usual because we were able to find a close parking spot which is pretty amazing. I would go there more often if it were always that way!

When Brett reserved the table online, they asked what the occasion was for having dinner that night. Since the occasion was “date night,” we were given complementary wine!

I remembered I had ordered a signature cocktail the last time we went to Seasons 52 so I was excited to order a different one this time (they change their menus every season). I got a Strawberry Basil Infuser and they didn’t have the basil garnish which was disappointing – but still delicious! Brett got a New Old Fashioned which was basically straight whiskey with a berry at the bottom. Yeah, yeesh!

One thing I am NOT a fan of is tomatoes. So it doesn’t make much sense that I would order a roasted tomato flatbread, buuuut it had mozzarella and basil so I had to get it and it was scrumptious. ——I hope you all have fun going on date nights again and your life goes back to being as normal as possible! Hopefully I gave you a new date spot to try and you like it as much as we do. Happy dating!
