Beams + Verses

If you know me and/or follow me on Instagram you might know that I am slightly obsessed with Jeremiah 29:11. If there is an item out there with this verse on it, you bet I want it. It is one of those that everyone needs to hear because we have all gone – or will go – through something in our lives that makes us feel uncertain about the future. I have experienced that time of uncertainty and clung to this verse. I wore it on a ring on my hand for a long time until Brett gave me an engagement ring.I saw my engagement ring as proof that He will always follow through on His promises. Jeremiah 29:11 is written on the header above our master bedroom. I felt it was the best place for it because although the entire house is ours, this room is about US. When someone reads the verse and sees “plans to give you hope and a future,” it may resonate differently with them than it does for someone else. It may even change meaning over time depending on the stage of life someone is in. The plans I had hoped for were to have a man in my life that was everything I could ever want and need. He delivered just that and I am grateful!
If you want to write verses in your new home/building but need inspiration, there are many articles on Pinterest that list out several great verses and even suggest ones for different rooms in your home!

Growing up, and even still, my family ate every meal together at the table. Currently, Brett and I eat in the living room unless we have guests over, but once we have kids my hope is to eat meals at the table together.

Proverbs 21:25-26 is inside the doorway of our guest room. I wanted a verse that related to guests staying in the room as well as one for kids, as this will someday be our nursery/kids room!

We wrote more verses than pictured here but these were my favorite ones. I wrote one above the front door and Brett wrote one in the bathroom. I hope this inspires you to bring God into your home in some way!
