Proverbs 24:3-4

A house is built by wisdom, and it is established by understanding; by knowledge the rooms are filled with every precious and beautiful thing.

Proverbs 24:3-4

The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with joy.

Psalm 126:3

Our home is filled with some of my most favorite Bible verses and these two are what you would read as you are welcomed in (if you could read through walls, of course)!

I had been planning weeks in advance on which of God’s word would be written on the headers and beams. Back in February was when they were written by Brett and myself, yet they are still saved in my phone as a note – and forever will be! I, of course, had certain verses in mind for particular rooms and was so excited to choose ones for the kids’ rooms, especially, so that they could forever be “tied” to a special part of the Bible.

Here are the photos of the beautiful words that lie underneath the drywall + paint in our forever home.

Kylie’s room:

For it was you who created my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will praise you because I am remarkably and wondrously made. Psalm 139:13-14

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5-6

Morgan’s room:

Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the laws my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Joshua 1:7-9

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12

Kitchen:

She is like the merchant ships, brining her food from far away. She rises while it is still night and provides food for her household and portions for her maidens. Proverbs 31:14-15
