When Morgan was 8 days old, we took him to my friend Shelby [Shelby Lynn Photography] to capture all his cuteness! Oh my goodness they turned out even cuter than I ever could have imagined! Our sweet, handsome little guy rocked his photoshoot. Morgan Grey Houchen, I could stare at you all day!

National Son’s Day today🖤Words can’t describe how much I adore this little boy… sweet, thoughtful, smart, hardworking are just a few ways to describe him. We tell him on the daily that he’s just the best little boy and we mean it with our whole hearts. He’s the sweetest brother to Kylie - like I didn’t even know it was possibly for a toddler to be so incredible to a baby but WOW, he blows us away with how kind, thoughtful, responsible, and just plain fun he is with her. I cannot wait to see the incredible man Morgan turns into one day (but also, I wish he would stay this age forever)! We love you so much Morgan Grey!🖤

I’m grateful to my daughter for making me want to be a better woman🤍. I don’t see my “flaws” as flaws much anymore and I treat myself a little kinder now. The reason is because, if I see myself as flawed and imperfect, my daughter may see herself as the same someday and start picking herself apart like I’ve done to myself. It breaks my heart to think ahead of the pressure she will put herself under someday because let’s be honest, girls can be mean. I want to set her up to be confident and to love herself. After all, she is remarkably and wonderfully made. Aren’t I, too? Aren’t we all?! It’s such a blessing to call her my daughter.

“But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I want to be
In my daughter’s eyes”

We’ve so enjoyed this rainy day! Started with snuggles in bed with both the babies. I made M a letter of the week breakfast then Morgan worked in the shop with Brett while Ky and I went to pick up groceries. We spent some time on the front porch, which is my happy place in any weather, but lately I’ve especially loved being out there when it’s rainy or stormy! Now Morgan and Brett are in the skid steer and Kylie is taking a nap in my arms while I drink a glass of wine and watch a show - something that I never get to do!🙌🏼🌧️🍷

Thinking tonight will be a pizza + dessert night🤍
